Assistant AD & Head Football Coach / Inside Linebackers

Raymond Garza is the Pioneers' Assistant AD, Head Coach, and Inside Linebackers Coach. Coach Garza played football, basketball, and ran track at Alvin High School. After High School, he played football at Blinn Junior College and was a student-coach at Texas A&M University. He has a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. This is his 18th year of teaching and coaching at Alvin ISD. Coach Garza is married to Emily, who is the nurse at Iowa Colony High School. They have three children: Gunner, Garrett, and Gabby. Coach Garza attends New Hope Church and enjoys spending time with his family and fishing in his spare time.
