Caitlin Cunningham
Coach Cunningham is entering her 15th year in education, all with Alvin ISD. She spent 12 years (2010 - 2022) at Manvel Junior High - 5 as a 7th grade English teacher/7th grade B volleyball coach and 7 as an English instructional coach and 6th/7th grade teacher. In 2022-2023, she taught English at ICHS and coached aquatics at Manvel High School before taking over the head coach position at ICHS.
Currently, this is Coach Cunningham's second year as the head aquatics here at Iowa Colony High School. In addition to coaching the ICHS water polo and swim/dive teams, she teaches AP Language and Composition and coaches spelling/vocabulary and literary criticism academic UIL.
Coach Cunningham is a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana (Shreveport, LA) where she received her Bachelor's Degree in English and swam on the Centenary Ladies swim team. She also holds a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction - Literacy Studies from University of Texas-Arlington and is a proud graduate of Alvin ISD (Alvin High School '05) as well. When she is not teaching or coaching, Coach Cunningham enjoys listening to music and podcasts, reading books, learning, and spending time with her family and friends.
